Hey Everybody!

Hi :).

Just checking in to say that I’ve been really…well, I want to say 100 percent raw but since I’m new to this I’ll just say I’ve been as raw as possible for two weeks. I’ve been eating a lot of bananas and experimenting with a food processor. I think the only things I’ve eaten that weren’t guaranteed raw were some raw pecans I got from whole foods and some raw olives from there also. Effects: I’ve lost about 20 pounds.

!

Also, I have a famously awful moontime—this time around I’d say it was miraculously improved.

I’ve been a little tired and crabby, especially a couple days pre-moon. However, my pants are hanging off me so there’s a payoff. My skin is incredible.

Question: I bought wheatgrass today. No idea what to do with it.

anybody?

you bought the grass in trays? you have to get a special juicer. either hand crank or electric. check out ann wigmore. she has a lot to say on the topic.

  • Hi,

If you are desperate, you could just chew and chew on it until only colourless and tasteless fibre is left. Hahahaa… Read somewhere, probably in an Ann Wigmore book, that doing this is great for your gums and getting rid of bacteria in the mouth.

You could also blend the grass in a blender with some water and strain it to get juice? I’ve never tried this myself but there are videos of people doing so on youtube.

    Good luck!

I’ve blended wheatgrass in my blendtec and then strained it through my nut milk bag. Worked perfectly!

  • :). Okay, thanks all!

I was reading about the idea of just chewing out the juice and thought I’d try that, but the blender idea seems more civilized. I figured there was some other strategy out there besides a masticating juicer.

I’m actually a little afraid of the wheatgrass. I think I remember the last time I tried it I was nauseated for hours afterward. Maybe chewing on a few blades every now and then might be a good idea at first…
