here to get informations

Hello everyone!

I’m new here, and I’ve not gone raw yet, but I’m very interested in that life style. So I’m here to gather informations, recipes, and to see if I finally turn 100% raw or not. Anyway, it is my goal to incorporate more and more raw food in my eating habits. I guess, like may Canadians did before going raw, one of my concern is not being able to eat warm food in winter. I don’t get much salad craving in those months!

Hope I’ll find here what I’m looking for!

  • Hi Verousse,
We’re in Canada also. The best way to eat lots of raw foods and keep warm in the winter is by exercising. Get outdoors and ski, skate, snowshoe etc. When you come back in your circulation will be improved and you won’t feel cold. Also try to eat your foods at room temp. and never straight out of the fridge.

  • Hi Verousse and RawNutrition,

I know that I cannot compare my winter to yours (So. California), but I’ll share with you that raw soups are really satisfying me right now. You can heat them up on low heat on your stove, stirring constantly, until they reach body temperature or a little warmer. Also, I add cayenne pepper to a lot of my foods right now, which warms me up.

Ginger also heats me up ALOT!

  • Tea helps me, warm dehydrated foods (lighter, such as stir frys) or soups really helps me!
