Hello...just signed up

Hello. I have been on a 98% raw food diet for 2 weeks. I have read about health and nutrition for years, but it has been difficult to actually do what I have believed in for quite some time – i.e. live food is so much better for you. Anyway, here are topics that I am interested in for today: (1) Finding people that are going raw in southwest or west central Ohio. (2) Getting opinions on how to integrate whole grains and legumes without having to sprout or cook them. (3) Suggestions for good food suppliers, especially somewhat close to Ohio. Right now I would really like to eat brown rice, wheat, and various beans, but I am trying to stay away from cooking them. I am soaking some brown rice right now. I also have a question which I have not been able to find an answer to so far: how much better is brown rice for you uncooked as opposed to cooked? I would probably expand that to various beans as well. I want to convince myself that there really is a significant advantage to not cooking grains and legumes from a nutrient and health perspective. So, if anyone can shed some light on my questions for the today, I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks, golden buckeye
