GREETINGS! I HAVE BEEN LIVING RAW FOR 3 MONTHS AND AM FEELING SO ALIVE AND FREE. MY HUSBAND AND DAUGHTER HAVE ALSO JOINED THIS JOURNEY. MY DAUGHTER IS 9 AND SHE HAS BEEN RAW FOR 2 MONTHS. EVERYTHING IS GOING WELL- JUST A FEW ‘GLITCHES’ COME UP FOR US IN WAVES. MY DAUGHTER IS LIMITED IN WHAT SHE EATS ONLY BECAUSE SHE NEVER LIKED MUCH BEFORE THIS JOURNEY. LUCKILY SHE HAS ALWAYS LOVED SALADS. SHE PREDOMINATELY EATS FRUITS WHICH CAUSES HER EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL ENERGY TO RISE AND FALL SPORADICALLY. SHE HAS AGREED TO START DRINGKING GREEN JUICE W/ ME AT LEAST 3X A WEEK. MY STRUGGLES ARE MY SALT CRAVINGS-CHIPS, AND MY SWEETS. THANKS TO THAT AWESOME LEMON COOKIE RECIPE-MY SWEET CRAVINGS GET SATISFIED. MY SON, WHO IS 12, IS NOT RAW. SINCE WE ALL WENT RAW HE HAS WANTED THE WORST FOODS LIKE CHEETOS, BEEF, SCHWAG OF SCHWAG STUFF THAT WE NEVER BOUGHT. I AM LEARNING TO ACCOMODATE HIM MORE WITH COOKING HIM YUMMIE MEALS THAT HE REQUESTS. ALL IN ALL I FEEL SO GREAT. MY BODY IS PULSATING WITH LIFE AND VITALITY!!! I GIVE THANKS FOR ALL THE INFO OUT THERE- AND THIS SITE. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I FELT INSPIRED TO JOIN A PLACE TO ‘CHAT’ GOOD DAY TO ALL!
Welcome Faerysparks! My husband has just given the o.k. to take our whole family raw, so I share in your excitement! Also, I have a 3 year old daughter who is mostly raw, but a 13 year old son who is fighting me tooth and nail, I think it is the puberty independence thing. So, I am just trying to do what I can. I trust that everything will work out if we just give it the time that it needs.
great to hear you story. I think salty flax crackers are a good munch food to satisfy chip/salt cravings. I just made some because I am travelling and they’re great to take along for the ride. I’ve posted the recipe under Renee’s Crisps in the recipe section.
