How about putting on an Online Annual Raw Food Recipe Awards show, complete with nominations, voting, editors choice, members choice, all catergories, Desert, Main Dish, etc.
Call it “The Gone Raw Awards” and run it all from right here on the site!

this is so exciting! thing is you need to consider the fact that not everbody has the same ingredients when making the same recipe, quality and taste will vary from different continents and states, so that make the judging even more subjective. so maybe we should set criterias. i wonder what kandace and rae think about this!

categories: visual design, best reproduction of a traditionally cooked dish, Best dish for children, Raw Celebrities choice based on a small panel of “raw gurus”,
The results could be part of that recipe book that Kandace & Ray are talking about. Include interviews with the winning ‘chefs’, etc. They could re-publish it every year.
On the E Ballot you may have to tick a box that says wether or not you have made the recipe.

How about a changing catagory of the month or week? Some examples might be: by catagory: kids recipes, finger foods, comfort foods, adapted recipes (tastes just like…); by ingredient: parsnips, CHOCOLATE (2 or 3 months, hehehe), “no way that had ? in it”; by technique: three or less ingredients, no gadgets, quickies, freezable; by theme: Middle Eastern, Holloween, all things orange, “looks like crap, but tastes heavenly”, garden in a bowl, under $5, “mistakes that worked”; by function: good for colds, cleansing, hair, athletes, high in protein, 80/10/10; by ?. Some focuses could be from whatever is being discussed (like there is a parsnips discussion right now) or suggestions can be submitted. You could have a small award per period and then a big award at the end of the year.

How about awards for the pictures people have in their profile? Catagories could include, “pic that puts a smile on your face”, most calming, scariest, most inspiring, yummiest, ????
