As far as I know, fruitarianism isn’t strictly defined… Some would eat anything that has seeds in it (that includes cucumbers and squashes) and some only tree fruit. Some would also eat seeds on their own (including nuts) but a lot would avoid those. Seasonings and spices probably wouldn’t be in a fruitarian diet as it’s supposed to be as natural as possible and there’s no need to cover up the taste of fruit. Beans are technically a seed, so that would depend on the person. There are certain fruitarians that would simply eat only what’s “given” to us, which would mean seeds are a living thing that needs to be saved, not eated, while the soft sweet flesh of a fruit is what we naturally need and get from nature. When you eat vegetables you kill the whole plant… Some people are bothered by that. I hope that made sense… and wasn’t too messy of an answer :c)
I read somewhere that being a fruitarian doesn’t mean that you eat only the sweet fruits, but also the non-sweet fruits, like tomatoes, cucumbers, avocado, and also leafy greens. As mentioned above, seeds and nuts might also be part of the diet.
