Feeling Lighter!

Feeling lighter by the day! I’ve been on my 100% raw diet now for one week and I am lighter by 6 pounds! I’d love to hear other peoples stories about how their bodies are transforming on raw diets.

    Hi Healthywoman,

    I’ve been raw for about 2 months, on and off (only off when away with work etc and no other choice..) and am feeling soo much better on it!

    I was previously doing weightwatchers and realised how much crap I was eating, I had a couple of Shazzies books (www.shazzie.com) for years as I first heard about raw a few years ago, I decided to hunt them down in the garage and went for it!

    Since going raw my skin has improved no end, I have a hormonal problem due to a benign pituitary tumor, which was sending things mental and am on medication to reduce it, this caused my skin to break out all over the place but it has really settled down on raw. I had already lost weight due to the ww so my initial ‘water weight’ etc would already have come off. I’ve lost a further 1/2 stone (6lbs) or so but this is with no counting, eating nuts seeds, oils, advocados, raw chocolate anything I want as long as its raw which is great! I dont feel as hungry as I did on WW and I have learnt to respond to my body better. I’ve changed all my cosmetics and products, toothpaste etc over to products as natural and minimal as possible and have started oil pulling very recently (watch this space on that) I have also been dry body brushing which is slowly but surely improving cellulite, and doing yoga and pilates when I get time, which isnt that much as I commute 1.5 – 2 hrs to work each way.. I would recommend anyone and will drone on for hours to anyone who’ll listen!

  • Hi clr-1976. Thanks for writing back. I also was on Weight Watchers and realized how much crap it sucks you into eating! WW should be banned. I had already lost that “water weight” on WW so was amazed to see 6 more pounds come off in one week. In fact, it’s 8 pounds now after 1 1/2 weeks! In fact, in one particular 24 hours period, 2 pounds left me. I’m starting to feel like I’m in the Dr. Who episode where everyone’s fat turns into little creatures and floats away into the sky,

    My joints are better. I also do dry skin brushng and yoga but are seeing much better results when combined with the raw foods. I also find that I need less moisturizer on my face.

    I hadn’t heard of Shazzie. I will look at the website. And oil pulling is new to me and would love to hear more about it.

    hi healthy woman. I am glad you are noticing results. I too noticed a lot of weight loss in the first few weeks then it was more gradual after that. the main benefit however is just my overall strength and energy. My digestion has improved (never realized before that I couldn’t digest beans) too. i was vegan and gluten-free before and i find this diet more expansive than restrictive.

    i have been doing dry skin brushing too and i love the results. i am doing yoga as well, i even got my husband into it!
