Feeding Raw Wildlife?
I live in the countryside and I'm a big animal fan, now previously I fed the wildlife in typical western style.Hedghogs got tinned cat food, birds got fat balls and ducks got bread etc
So, anyone got suggestions for feeding raw wild life, all animals but especially; birds, ducks, hedgehogs. I feed the wild rabbits, but the d'uh-factor in my brain says raw carrots are all good :D
Got any suggestions?
i'm not sure about raw food with those animals. i feed apples to deer and peanut butter on bread to squirrels. that's my favorite because the squirrels just eat the peanut butter and leave the bread. i think it's cute haha i'm sure you could use carrots or celery though. i know groundhogs like lettuce and carrots because i've fed them at the game preserve. how bought raw sunflower/pumpkin/hemp seeds for birds?
I read on a site that after you use wheat grass seeds and harvest the grass, that the birds will like to eat the seeds that were used. If you don't grow wheatgrass I guess you could still sprout the seeds in a jar for them. (The seeds are sprouted before they're planted.)
Feeding wildlife is highly detrimental to them Please Read:
