estrogen/endometriosis

Hi Im Tracy and new to gone raw. I was reading the other day about some of you on here and how to deal with high estrogen and other illnesses asociated with this. I have never thought about all the foods that I have had until I started looking up about being estrogen dominant. I came across this page after searching about DIM… I have been trying to find out as much as I can about how I can balance my hormones and reduce my pain without me having to take morphine all the time. I also have started to suffer with extreem PMS, breast problems, etc.. If anyone can help me in the right direction I would really appreciate it?

I’ve heard that folks healed from many things after going raw. i healed from all kinds of digestive problems. I don’t know the science behind it, but several raw food books out there talk about the science of healing. check out gabriel cousens and norman walker, for starters. They are medical doctors who are also raw foodists. There books seem highly reccommended, although i don’t know what’s in them.

  • Hi Tracy. I’m Lynne and I too have estrogen linked problems like uterine fibroids and heavy, irregular menstrual periods with nasty pain. I started taking Indole-3-carbinol about a week ago. It is supposed to be converted to DIM when it hits stomach acid, which I am lacking in. I also take Betaine HCl capsules. What else have you tried besides a raw diet to heal yourself? I have tried Vitex and iodine. Incidentally, the vitex got rid of my PMS, which was pretty bad about 3 years ago. It may help you with that. It’s an herb that you can take in capsule or tincture form. Good luck and keep us posted.
