Eating raw buckwheat flour?

I noticed that I have two big bags of organic buckwheat flour in the fridge that I need to use up. It says that it’s made of raw organic hulled buckwheat groats. Is this okay to eat raw, like adding to puddings and such? I wasn’t sure and I can’t find any info on the net about it except for cooking it into breads.

As long as you enjoy the taste, I don’t see why it couldn’t be used just like ground flax… in smoothies, puddings, over salad, etc.

Hmm, I mainly like using it as a thickener and I enjoy the taste when it’s combined with other ingredients. It also has a lot of nutritional value, but I just wasn’t sure that eating it like that was okay or not. I guess it would be just like eating raw buckwheat groats, which a lot of people do on this site. Thanks for the reply.
