Sounds like detox to me. I went through something similar after I had been about 80% raw for 2-3 months. I still get occassional lightheadedness but am now back to 100% raw (yeah!). I noticed that since this has been happening, I have been craving more salty/savory foods (thank goodness for crazybread crackers!- see recipe on this site). I was thinking that maybe it was my body trying to regulate it’s blood pressure or something. I hadn’t thought of B vitamins. What lead you to that conclusion?
I was thinking that B vitamins have something to do with iron, and that if you don’t get enough of them you could become anemic, which might cauze dizziness. It’s the first thing I think of whenever I get some kind of funky symptom, probably because my gramma (who is a total hypochondriac, but for other people ;o) has been worrying for years that I’m anemic, all evidence to the contrary. Heh… I was just guessing.
Hi Jenergy. A friend of mine had the same symptoms as you are having and find out that she had worms in her intestines.Maybe it’s better if you check it out. It’s a very simple thing, and it’s simple to cure it too.
Wow… um, yuck. I sure hope that’s not my problem! I’m going to give it a couple days to clear up – my standard, “If I ignore it, maybe it’ll go away,” technique – but if I’m still this dizzy after that I’ll probably go to the doctor. Ick. I try to avoid going to the doctor, partly because my health insurance is lousy and it’s expensive, but mostly because I have a deep distrust of the whole “Take this pill” mentality. Corporatized medicine. Bleh.
But that is another topic, entirely. ;o)
Maybe it could be yeast infection, candida. Try to do the diet no sugar, carbohydrates, fruits,,salt, stored grains, yeast, mushrooms,,vinegar, mustard, tamari, miso, olives, pickles, and all the other fermented foods. Try for a week and seek how do you feel.
Maybe you just need to eat more calories, foods with protein, iron, essential fatty acids and B12. B vitamins are really important, make sure you cover all of them.
I had that when I was transitioning to raw, after being good and eating just raw for a few days I would eat something that wasn’t raw, and a few hours after I would go dizzy and faint. When I went 100% it stopped.I suggest going 100% for a while and seeing if that clears it up.
