I got my dehydrator for free, i used freecycle, it's a yahoo group. I received an American Harvester Dehydrator, i think it retails for around 40dollars..., it's one of the round ones, but i make it work, donut shaped pizzas taste fine to me! I don't think it's too noisy and it has a good thermostat.
