Cooked food gives me a fever
Is it my imagination?
Every time I make lentils I get a fever some time later (30 minutes). My cheeks get all hot, flaming.
What is happening inside me? It's uncomfortable.
Can I no longer sneak a cooked meal in?
What is happening biologically?
Sounds like you have an allergy... or possibly if you have been raw for a long time and have experience quick digestion, the amount of time and energy it takes to digest the lentils could make you feel flushed. Definitely try other cooked foods besides lentils and see if you have the same reaction. If not, you probably have a mild allergy to the lentils or something you are using when cooking them! :)
I have been almost 100% raw for several months. The only cooked things I have are things like teas, spices, etc but when I eat a very heavy meal I feel really flushed after wards too. I feel like it is my body burning a lot of energy to digest all the food that I ate.
