candida

I am struggeling still with candida since a long time. Now I am looking for somebody who can say, he is healed from it. I know about fruitconsumption (but without it will not works), no vinegar, dried fruits and so on. I already read a lot about the topic, but I have still so much problems like bloading and so on. It is such a hugh topic in my life, there are often things which I cannot enjoy because of it and it remembers me almost anytime. Some information about experiences would be great. Thanks

I believe Alissha Cohen had this before she went completely raw. If you get here recipe book “Living on Live Foods”, in the beginning part, she talks about her journey. She had a problem with consent chronic yeast infections. I would have to re-read it to remember how she healed herself exactly but her problem is gone now.

  • Have you read the book the Body Ecology diet by Donna Gates. It specifically deals with candida. My friend follows the diet with her daughter and has achieved great success.

  • I do not know the book. Trip, what is actually the context of the book. Sounds really interesting. What is a typical day with the meals? Please give me some more information about it.

Hi. I had candida with mercury toxicity and possibly Lyme disease. I was diagnosed with MS by an allopathic doctor, candida, mercury and Lyme by a homeopathic one. I’ve been raw for over two years. I also don’t take medications. I drink kombucha tea for the probiotics and take glyconutrients. Mannose in the glycos helps balance the candida and good bacteria. Fermented foods contain lactobacillus in a variety of strains. This bacteria helps with immune function and strengthens membranes, causing the candida to not be able to penetrate the intestines. This is a shortened version of the process, but the Body Ecology Diet follows along these lines. Raw, fermented foods are recommended. No antibiotics. The strain of bacteria doesn’t grow like candida albicans and fights it for space. I don’t have symptoms of candida anymore. I’m immobile still, but that’s improving too. Allison

I am actually just finding out that I have some level of candida also so I am looking into a more restricted diet until I get rid of it. I have some “yeast rashes” (pityriasis versicolor) that I can’t get rid of.

  • The Body-Ecology Diet (B.E.D.) has as it’s premise that candida is fed by acid and that we need to get our bodies into an alkaline state. That means first detoxing and cleansing the body with a strict diet that you follow for about 10 days and after that you can include a greater variety of food. So the first stage includes alkaline forming foods such as most land vegetables, ocean vegetables, millet, quinoa and amaranth, sea salt, herbs and seeds (except sesame), lemons, limes, unsweetened cranberries and black currants, raw apple cider vinegar, cultured vegetables, soaked and sprouted almonds and kefir ( you can actually get coconut kefir instead of the animal based kefir culture). NOT included in the first stage of the diet; all other fruits( they are included later) On this diet you can also eat animal foods if you choose, buckwheat and stevia. Overall, it’s an interesting book. Ms Gates followed a variety of diets to cure herself including vegetarian, vegan, macrobiotics and raw food and basically settles on a diet that combines naturopathy, Chinese medicine and a bit of modern medicine. I hope this helps.
