A tangy pate that goes well with any leafy wrap.
I’m still not sure still if this should be called sauce or salsa so I named it both.. I really threw together everything and eye-balled the measurements so feel free to adjust to how you like it. I guess if I had used the food processor for everything it might have been better than the blender but my FP is small and I didn’t want to hassle with it.
With today being my 47th day of a juice fast, I decided to share a new juice that I came up with in the last few days. Although most of my juices have been vegetable, this added a little variety to my routine. I mixed the lettuce with the fruits to be sure that I was still getting chlorophyll. The juice reminds me of something, I just can’t figure out what it is. If you can figure it out, I’d love to know. I think this would make a great punch.
carrot juice is nice and sweet, so when hubby complained that his green smoothie was to warm to drink after taking it to work in his thermos and to runny to drink when he added ice cubes, i made carrot-cicles. I have these cool ice trays made of rubber like stuff from ikea( heart shaped- awwww!) and i froze straight carrot juice. no excuses now baby!!!!;)
I had all this vegitable juice hanging around as ive been making mock tuna by the gallon( we are living on it at the moment. soooo tastey!) any how it produces lots of carrot juice, so i decided to make a soup base and gumbo sounded devine. I added a parsnip and three golden beets to the juicer as they where wilting and i didnt want them to waste. In the future i will leave out the beets and try for a more savory less sweet base but its really good and it will be even better tomarrow!
