I am currently in the process of leaving a good paying desk job with a company that manufactures and distributes silicone bake ware… not really representative of my lifestyle, you see? I am happy to report that, come April, I will be FREE of this job and working on an organic produce farm, about a mile outside of town.
So far this year, I have donated to VPR, Organic Consumer Association, and Greenpeace. I am very much the type that likes to put my time, energy and money where my mouth is and I like to associate with others that do the same. I may as well state that I consider myself an idealistic progressive democrat, although I share a few conservative opinions, as well… I am agnostic, if anything… also, generally, I am a pretty open minded guy in many regards.
I’ve been raw for about a year with the only a few reasonable exceptions that I’ve allowed myself like some bread and (extra virgin olive) oil on December 25th (stores closed, visiting my father) etc – not much more. Things that I would not have allowed myself if I, in any way, doubted my convictions with regards to the raw foods lifestyle… there, I said it.
Lately, I have been doing some soul searching and feel that maybe it’s time for me to go to college. I am interested in horticulture (and related studies), culinary (with an emphasis on raw preparation, if you know of anything…) and nutrition and diet.
