Hello! My name is Heather Beach and I am a college student at Oakland University. I have received my Bachelors degree in Communications and am looking forward to beginning my Master's degree. I live in Michigan, I love to be active as much as possible, get out and enjoy the sunshine (when we have it), being healthy and cooking/creating/preparing unique foods with few and/or inexpensive ingredients.
In early 2010 I became a vegan (not a strict one though I have to add) to try to be healthier and then was told about raw food and the health benefits that being a raw foodist can bring. I started to research more about this lifestyle and the more information that I found the more intrigued I became. So I went 100% for one week to see how I would like it. I LOVED IT! I felt better, slept better and felt a bit slimmer. While my budget has gone up a bit for groceries because of organic fresh items going bad so quickly if I'm not able to make something with it quick enough, but Im trying to find a middle ground. I enjoy trying new recipes so I don't always feel like I'm eating a salad. I was given a dehydrator and a food processor and am not sure how I lived without them before. I am enjoying experimenting with raw foods and the transition to being a vegan natural raw foodist!
