Okay…I made it to 60 days RAW. If you had talked to me a year ago, there is no way I would have ever thought that I would become a Raw Vegan (I didn’t even know what a Raw Vegan was!). I had tried, at the encouragement of a dear friend, on many occasions to go regular vegetarian in the past only to last a few days (and one time a few hours arriving at a steak house for dinner withfriends and throwing in the towel right then!). People around me can’t believe the change that has occurred since my going raw – from the weight loss, to my skin glow and disappearance of small those “early stage” wrinkles, to my overall peacefulness. In addition, I noticed the other day that the whites of my eyes are becoming sooo white – even on those nights where I don’t sleep verymuch.
Started preparing for my new life in March of 2008, after deciding to take my health our of my doctor’s hands and place it into my own.
Apparently, my hands are more caring than the doctors I was seeing in the past. I seem to be correct in what is best for me. Since going 100% Raw, I have lost over 30 lbs, have stopped taking the kitchen cabinet full of supplements and medications. I feel better than I have felt in 15 years! Funny thing, in the beginning, I didn’t tell my doctor that I wasgoing Raw, so when I would show up at my appointments and she was seeing such great results, she of course wanted to take all the credit and attribute it to the medications and supplements she was selling to me. When she found out that I went Raw Vegan, she was full of negative comments and lectures. Doesn’t that seem contradictory to when she wanted to take the credit and attribute it tomedications?! Needless to say, I do not see that doctor any longer.
