Mom of 4 Awesome Kids, ages 17, 15, 11 and 6. I discovered raw eating recently, but have been “going raw” for about 5 years. 5 years ago (at the age of 30) 6 months after I lost my Mom to Ovarian Cancer, I learned that I had stage 1 cancer. I decided to forgo conventional treatment and dive into finding a cure through nutrition. I started slowly, cutting out first, Soda and Junk Food. Second- I quit smoking cigarettes, I had been an on and off smoker for about 10 years. Finally, I made the decision to stop eating meat (except fish) I juiced almost every day, and increased my fruit and veggie consumption. Then I decided to eat all organic, when I could. Finally, around June (I think!) 2008, I decided to go mostly raw, organic. Right now I am eating about 90-95% raw. I lost 73 pounds over 5 years, I exercise regularly, and I am living proof that diet can build up an immune system to cure a disease. I am so thankful to God for leading me to this truth. I love to hear from others who decided not to do chemo or radiation, despite being told that we will die unless we do. I am 100% cancer free, and loving every minute of my life.
