Hi and I am brand new to taking the plundge in raw foods. This is not a New Years resolution but something I have wanted to do for a long time.
In the past I read Carol Alt’s book on raw foods and that inspired me to start considering eating raw.
After being diagnosed with a low thyroid I have decided to do it for my health. I hate taking prescription drugs and this a first step to better health. I know this is not a quick fix for my low thyroid but a stepping stone to a properly functioning one.
I am not quite sure what I am doing but the people blogging sound very helpful and I am ready to learn. My son is young and I want him to have the very best and that includes food as well. It seems as though everyones reasons for doing this is different but rewarding in the end. Here is to day number one and I with God’s grace and strenghth I know I can make it through the detox period. Nice to meet everyone and your recipes and knowledge is much appreciated.
